This song reminds me of the time when I was dancing a lot. I’m a freestyle dancer and for some reason, autumn gives me my ultimate dancer flashbacks because of all the leaves falling, creating a real playground outside. My friends and I were always outside after a full day of dance at school, back outside again to dance with a speaker, sharing and chilling.

My best friend and manager Léa introduced me to this producer/DJ. On our drives to gigs outside Amsterdam, we usually listen to trap only, but she also sometimes shares new music with me. I remember this song playing on the way to a show in Belgium, with the sunset streaming through the car windows and we brought bare snacks/drinks with us. It almost made me cry, as it evoked both happiness and sadness. I tried keeping it calm, cool, and collected. I can’t really explain it, but I bet you could feel the same way listening to it.

The entire album from 2006! My brother is my best friend, and I've always looked up to him since I was a little girl. We share a deep love for music and have similar tastes. Growing up, our household was filled with a variety of genres. When he was around 17, he listened to a lot of dancehall, what introduced me to the genre. I recall a time when he played Collie Buddz frequently. A reggae and dancehall artist. Now, whenever I hear Collie Buddz, it takes me back to our younger days. <3

Those who know me know that I'm a high-key lover gyal. I love love, but love ain’t always easy with me. When my heart gets broken, it feels particularly dramatic, and I need equally dramatic music to match that energy. During my last breakup, this song played on repeat.

The lyrics of this song say it all. This song gives me so much energy. When I'm in love, I feel on a constant high, and this song embodies that feeling. I always sing along loudly when it plays.

This is a tough one because when I go to the club or deejaying myself, I have two moods that need to be covered, lol. It’s either shaking a$$ or sweat and jump. I’ll be vibing heavily to sounds like; ‘Sak Abouw - Youngbull, Shairo’ BUT also heavily to ‘Real Love Remix - 4AMKRU, Guido YZ’.
